COVID-19: School Year Update
A Collaboration of the Colorado School of Public Health and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science
Watch the full episode

School is back in session, and across the U.S., COVID-19 policies in educational settings vary widely. In many cases, reinstated mask mandates have proven to be a flash point, stoking tensions between parents, school boards, lawmakers, and public health officials. Vaccines for children under 12 may be authorized soon, but remain unavailable for now. And questions remain about the efficacy of hybrid and/or fully online learning, complicating the decision-making even further. So what might the rest of the fall and winter hold for students?

In our latest bonus episode of our COVID-19 webinar series, we'll hear an update on the school year thus far from Rico Munn, Superintendent of Aurora Public Schools. Plus, Dr. Sean O'Leary, professor of pediatrics and infectious disease at the Colorado School of Medicine, will discuss the latest science around infections in children. Audience members are invited to submit questions for our guests in advance or live during the presentation.

This free public webinar is a collaboration of the Colorado School of Public Health, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, and the Institute for Science & Policy. The episode will also be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube.
